
BYU Kids Day Basketball Game
Each year, BYU invites elementary schools to come to the Marriott Center to watch one of the BYU Women's Basketball games. Art City Elementary school was one of many schools that had the opportunity to attend. The students had a lot of fun. Thank you BYU!!








Mr. Gordon and Trevon were chosen to participate in a contest to name former BYU athletes. They did great!





On Monday November 11, teachers, students and staff gathered around the flagpole for the raising of the flag, The Star-Spangled Banner and a moment of silence in commemoration of Veterans Day.







Each month Art City teachers select two students from their class who have demonstrated Stand Strong behaviors. Stand Strong Students of the Month are outstanding examples of positive character traits and have shown that they are safe, respectful, and responsible. Way to go to our October Stand Strong Students!!



Teachers and staff at Art City have nominated students for our Top Eagle award! Each month, one student from each grade level will be recognized for going above and beyond during our Stand Strong assembly. They received a prize and certificate. A sign will also be put in the student's yard. Good job Eagles!


Each month Mr. Cornwall celebrates teachers and staff who are going above and beyond what is expected of them at Art City Elementary. In October Mr. Cornwall recognized Lily Wheatfill,, Audrey Voorhees, Jamie Huston, Pam Spackman, Whitney Safford, Brooke Thomas, Stephanie Wood.


These students used Eagle Bucks, earned for doing great things, to be featured on Art City's webpage and social media! Way to go Awesome Eagles! Keep up the great work!

At Art City Elementary School, the faculty and staff love to dress-up almost as much as the students; book themes were seen throughout the staff!

Art City's fourth grade students had the opportunity on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, to visit This is the Place Heritage Park. They learned about what it took to be an early settler of Utah.





On Monday, October 7, Conner Mantz visited with the Kindergarten and fifth grade classes. Conner is a marathon runner who qualified and ran in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Conner placed 8th in his Olympic debut. Conner shared some of the things he was able to experience while he was in Paris.











The fourth Grade participated in their Unit two CKLA (Core Knowledge Language Arts & Literacy) Medieval Day. They were able to dress up as lords or ladies, knights, merchants, serfs, etc. They were able to participate in Middle Age activities including jousting, making rose window art, creating a coat of arms, and building a mini catapult!
